Suddenly no views?

I've had a good last few days orders wise with a conversion rate ~5%. I noticed today I wasn't getting any activity (no orders nor favorites) which is abnormal. I checked my stats, and I have had literally zero views since this morning. This has never happened before. What could have happened?

I've had issues with stats for weeks. So I had some friends favorite items, visit different listings and zip views show. I've even made some sales and at times my entire shop shows no views.  It's been up, down and all over the place. I contacted Etsy and got a "known issue; we're working on it" response. I have no idea what Etsy has done but it's a mess. I'm glad I'm just a hobby seller.

Ah, glad to hear that it's not just me. I'm also grateful to just be a hobby seller, I imagine I'd be *stressed* otherwise.

It's not even just missing views for me though, it's no favorites either (which hasn't happened since the early months of my shop a couple years ago). It's bizarre and a little disheartening because I was finally getting on a roll.

@PoppyandBagel    Cute shop and good sales!  The last few months my views and favorites have been alarmingly low too.  I know I need to add items, but I agree that it’s discouraging.

I too am a hobbyist, but man, after reading all of the forum comments ... sheesh, I really feel for a lot of people.  This is basically a pay to play scenario, and Etsy probably won't find solid footing until a reasonable valuation has been better established.  Consistency, transparency, order?  You be the judge - it sure seems mighty chaotic across the board.

Update: A friend of mine informed me that she favorited one of my items today, and there is no indication of that on my side at all. I'm concerned that the favorites might not be getting recorded, or that I could be receiving orders that I can't see.

I wonder about favorites too…sometimes Etsy will tell me that I have a favorite but they didn’t send a coupon.  But I get no notice at all after checking everything possible in my shop.  I think stats must be glitchy more often than not.  Unless Etsy doesn’t record favorites in our shops anymore unless they can send a coupon.

Starting from the beginning of August the views are very low and almost no sales in my shop.

Yeah, people's livelihoods seem to be tremendously affected, or they're overreacting on the forums.  Sure seems like real life impactful issues.  Then they are suddenly bewildered and looking for answers.  Then somebody comes along and posts  ... "tell us about your favorite do-dad, and how many times have you seen the ice cream fairy ... c'mon now, tell the truth.", meanwhile,  people are just musing to themselves "hmmm ... I'd like to know what's going on." No offense, but how much Clip Art and Adult Coloring Books ???     The  landscape seems so surreal.

Same issue. July 26th exactly I posted a day with 0 views. I am a full time seller with over 30k sales, we trended page 1 for key search terms for years. I am constantly studying SEO and such, one day we were normal, page 1 rank 3, next day, all items removed from rank and cannot find any of the listings.

@NYCitySucculents    Your shop says 244 listings but I was only shown 73.

Exactly! It will slowly disappear them until its down to 0 and I go back and deactivate and reactivate all of them. Do you know what this is or how I can fix it?

Yeah, I think sometimes you just kind of slowly turn away from all of this and think " maybe I'm needed back on planet earth"

Same here 19 December 2024. Maybe they they do it on purpose so that you upload more products so they make money. Might change to Shopify.
