Struggling to get resolution from Etsy Support

I have been waiting for an email to confirm my identity with whatever department handles that. Emails are still being sent to an old email that isn't receiving emails from "trust and support" and I was promised an email twice on Monday 1/20 to prove my identity. No matter how many times I try to change my email, it still gets sent to my old email, specifically with tickets. I really want my shop back. Today marks 5 weeks since my shop being forced on vacation mode and 4 weeks I've been fighting with etsy support. I have even attempted requesting a manager and have also received nothing. I just want my email updated to the new and correct email (after being promised several times this email needed to confirm everything would be sent to my new email) and I want my shop back. It's frustrating to get NOTHING done about this!

Re: Struggling to get resolution from Etsy Support

It is unclear from your description above whether you have contacted Etsy support specifically regarding the changing your email address on the account? Did they ask you a load of security questions? The department dealing with your email address change may be different to the department which is verifying your ID. They might take a while to get back to you.

Normally you can only change your email address if you have access to the old account in order to get the security code.

Re: Struggling to get resolution from Etsy Support

I've been in contact with them every other day about the verifying my identity part. I only realized about 2 weeks in of contacting them that my email needed to be updated. I informed them of this and was able to update my email but I was not told that even though I updated my email, things would be sent to my old email because I submitted the ticket while I had my old email attached to my account. When I requested my email to be update, I made sure that everything would be sent to my new email, it wasn't. When checking in on the status, I was told it would be sent to my new email several times. Even today when I attempt to submit a new ticket, the correspondence is sent to my old email, even if I am told it was "fixed."

With my identity, I was told by etsy support on Monday 1/20 that an email was sent to my old email on Tuesday 1/14 and Thursday 1/16. They told me I need to reply to the email, but here's the thing, i didn't get those emails, a big reason is it was sent to my old email that for some reason will not get etsy emails regardless of how much double checking and checking into it that it isn't blocked.

On Monday I was promised I would get an email within a few hours and it would be sent to my new email. I've been checking in with etsy support daily to see where this email is and when it would be sent to me. They have told me nothing other than it has been "escalated" over and over again.

Re: Struggling to get resolution from Etsy Support

@CraftableFurMom I'm sorry I can't offer much advice. I expect your situation has been complicated by the fact that you are trying to verify ID AND change your email address at the same time. I'm sure you can appreciate how that might be seen as a red flag for Etsy security.

What I do know is that opening new help request tickets will not help you. Can you access the help requests via the shop manager and reply to your open ticket there?

Re: Struggling to get resolution from Etsy Support

I just wish they would have done all of this BEFORE I made a sale. I have funds from sales I made prior to all of this and I can't get any of it now due to little to no help from etsy support. It's very discouraging.

I have tried replying to my previous tickets several times, that's what I did the first week I submitted a ticket and I get nothing in response:(
