Strange Going Ons

Hello, Could someone please check my etsy sight? My sales are very slow and not selling. I have also received a strange message that did come from Etsy. Etsy said they removed an item of mine that was infringing. Etsy was going to email me to my email address. Well I never received an email and I NEVER had an item like this listed. I am also receiving an item that I had already bought before Christmas. I contacted the seller and she said it was a "glitch".. Well this item is being delivered today. It seems maybe my shop is lost in the Algorithm??  I would greatly appreciate your checking of my sight.      sagesantiques.etsy.com
  Thank You  Debbie

Re: Strange Going Ons

If you've had listings taken down by Etsy the rest of your items will automatically be suppressed in search. Check your "Deactivated" folder in your Shop Dashboard to see which one may have been taken down.

You need to have the take down reversed by the complaining party. Etsy will not act because it is a legal action that they must enforce.

Note that we are only other sellers here. You'll have to contact Etsy itself for any more help that us just guessing what happened.

Hello, Thank You for your email. I did check the Deactivated Folder and nothing was deactivated other than what I deactivated. Strange.

Re: Strange Going Ons

I checked your shop and it's up and seems fine.  You have many sales therefore, your shop has been indexed.  Many sellers are experiencing a decline in sales this month because the Christmas rush is over.  Sales should pick up for you again eventually.  You probably never got the email from Etsy because you never had an item like the deactivated one listed.  If you bought a particular item before Christmas and it's showing that it's out for delivery again, don't worry about it.  As the store owner told you, it's probably a glitch or she marked it as "shipped" later than she should have.

Re: Strange Going Ons

Did you get a message from Etsy or did you see a banner in your shop manager about a removed item? I know some sellers have reported an infringement banner that appears to be a glitch. They never had anything removed from their shop either. Your shop is selling vintage, so it seems more unlikely you'd get an infringement notice, but not impossible. If a company does a sweep for trademarked names for instance, they may not notice your items are resold vintage items if they do a takedown.

Re: Strange Going Ons

If nothing shows up in your Inactive folder, it may be that glitch. Usually if you have an item taken down, you get a message with the name of the person issuing the takedown. But sometimes sellers don't get those emails either.

Re: Strange Going Ons

I also received a red  infringement banner across the top of my shop page from Etsy on my "one or more" of the listings in my VINTAGE shop.  I have had that same vintage only shop  since 2008, and have never had an IP claim made against my shop.  The infringing IP item/items was not disclosed to me,  I was also told that whatever it was, was "deactivated" and an email was sent to me.  I checked my deactivated listings first, and there was nothing at all that could have been from the company that reported my shop.  The only deactivated  listings were ones that I, myself, deactivated before moving them to another venue.  All of the deactivated listings were from the 1960s to the 1980s in age, and the company that allegedly reported my listings had a start date of mid 1990s.  I also checked emails for the past 6 weeks, and found no emails from Etsy regarding my shop being reported for IP.  I sent a help notice to Etsy asking them to clarify the message that I received, and asking for their help in resolving the issue.  There is no longer any HELP chat, so I had no choice but ask them through the message system.  I have after 3 days had no reply, only SILENCE!
