Hi I get a load of custom orders, and often from the same buyer. I usually tell the buyer to start a new conversation as I can only do 1 custom listing per chat open, and this normally works fine. However a customer who's been getting custom orders off me for like a year suddenly can't send me a new message. Any message she sends is sent to the previous chat, and when I tried from my end, it went to the same chat also. Never had this happen before but now no idea how to do the new custom listing for the person, as etsy only allows 1 listing per conversation. Any advice? Thanks so much
I just set it up as a reserved listing in my shop (using a new listing) and manually send the buyer the link to purchase. I find that's easier.
I've been doing this since the new Custom set-up, which is barely functional - even though we can do more than one per convo now.
@PillowDetails I also found that things looked "right" when I set up that first custom link order but after I published, the settings changed to what's apparently a default so instead of someone else/supplies, the listing was under handmade.
I knew that buyer didn't care but I wanted it to be right - there are too many variables to have go wrong these days and a chance for your shop to be closed without warning.
@Foodbutsmall Are you aware this has changed? I think this year. Look at any convo, and you'll see the option button to "Make this a custom order". We can do more than one now.
Hi thanks for responding, for some reason this doesn't work for me, I get an error message saying it can't make custom listing for this message. App is updated, bizarre
