Suddenly I have a lower rating for shipping while I have been 100% on time with shipping including tracking for 12 months. But my overview stats on my homepage show 4.9 when sending?
Has a bug occurred?
Shop ratings are different than star seller ratings. You have a few less-than-five-star reviews in the past year, so your overall shop rating will be less than 5.0. The overall shop shipping rating is what the bots picked up from the reviews that you received in the past 365 days.
Star seller ratings and overall shop ratings (completely from reviews) are two separate rating systems.
Thank you so much for your reply.
However, as i now know that Star Seller rating is not the same as overall ratings I think for example if the customer is giving 4 stars for the postage service, even so if i am on time with shipping and have a 100% Star seller rating on that part, i can still get lower rates by the customer giving me 4 stars for bad postage due to the postage company!
So than the postage should get the 4 stars not me ; ) as there is little i can do if they take a long time to deliver or whatever they do wrong.
For this reason it seems somewhat unfair to me these two different rates.
@ParlorMo: You need to check the applicable CSV file on your Customer Service (Star Seller) page (last review period for January star) to see what Etsy thinks is late or otherwise has something wrong with it. In particular make sure that *Had processing time?* = yes, *Ship by* has a date, *Tracking/label date* has a date, and *Shipped on time?* = yes. Remember that Star Seller dates / times are in UTC not your time zone.

If the buyer said: "USPS is crappy service" you could have had the review removed because they mentioned the shipper, and the review was about the shipper. If the buyer said "the package arrived late" the review was about the buyer's experience with the order. It cannot be removed and will be counted.
Etsy's policies about review policy follows the Federal Trade Commission. You can read more about the Consumer Review Fairness Act on the FTC's website: https://www.ftc.gov/business-guidance/resources/consumer-review-fairness-act-what-businesses-need-kn...
(The big impact this error has on my shop is that it has caused me to lose my Star Seller badge after being a Star Seller for 3 consecutive years)
