Hi, a customer sent me a duplicate message. I only responded to one obviously but have now realised this has unnecessarily impacted my star seller stats. I was told I could mark messages as spam. I don’t seem to have the option to do this. Apparently I could also reply to both messages (not good customer experience in my opinion). I would like my star seller stats to be amended due to customer not seller error.
In your message box highlight the duplicate message, then click the three vertical dots above the message window and select Mark as spam. This should adjust your stats within 48 hrs, but it is not guaranteed.
There is no such thing as a customer error in Star Seller, it has nothing to do with customers, it is all about your customer service performance as a seller. If a buyer happens to send a duplicate message, you need to answer it within 24hrs (just a "see other message" will suffice), or mark it as spam. You didn't do either, as far as Etsy is concerned that is your mistake, not the customer's.
Ok thank you. It’s just a bit frustrating as I dealt with the customer query immediately so I feel it’s a bit false. Also noticed you can’t mark as spam on the app only via web.
