Hello,
I was reviewing my upcoming status today and noticed my shipping rate dropped dramatically, below the threshold. Further investigation shows that Etsy thinks I neglected to enter a tracking number on an order. I DID enter a number, but have realized that I entered the number incorrectly. There appears to be no way to edit the number. I do know that my seller received their order and is very happy with it. For formality, I sent them a note today with the correct tracking number so it is now recorded, albeit not in the 'right' place. How I can get Etsy to verify that I have entered a number and update my on time shipping percentage? The order number is
The correct tracking number is
9500115593383206735247
I'd be very grateful for some help with this. Thanks.
Amy
You have 3 days to change the number. After that there is nothing you or etsy can do. Etsy has said they will not manually adjust anything having to do with star seller metrics.
Well, I am long past three days. It was late July. And it stinks if Etsy isn't willing to do anything to help.
@singingwhale: Unfortunately, Etsy has made it clear that they will not manually adjust Star Seller data, and their position will no doubt be that you had 72 hours to correct the tracking number. An unsupported shipper or a tracking number that cannot be validated equals shipped without tracking.
And just so you know, even if Etsy Support or the Help Pages sent you here this is a seller peer to peer forum, and should not be considered a way to contact Etsy, if that is your hope (although Etsy does sometimes read and reply to posts).
Thanks, BagMaker. I was trying to find a direct to Etsy support route but of course they make that difficult. So, was trying the throwing pasta at the wall approach, see what sticks.
Used to be, etsy somehow knew if a number was wrong before it was fully entered but maybe that capability is gone. Until I saw this dip in numbers, I had no idea I'd entered the number wrong, since the buyer had left a positive review so I knew it had arrived. No reason to worry! Now I know. No less frustrated, but anyway.
