Star seller score

I am a star seller. I always receive 100%
I am was scored 50% for message response rate. I purchased an item from another Etsy shop and this shop messaged me thanking for my purchase. I did not respond as there was not a reason to. I was the buyer in this instance. Etsy will not correct my score. I need this corrected. This is frustrating as this is all generated by a bot.,very frustrating.

There is nothing to correct. Star Seller criteria is very clear - respond to ALL messages or mark as spam.

It's been this way for two years. Re-read the requirements if the star seller badge matters that much to you.

Etsy has also emphatically stated that they will not "correct" anything having to do with star seller.

The rules are clear that all messages have to be answered even the ones when we are a buyer. EIther answer or spam is the way within the 24 hour period. The star seller information is prominent in the shop manager and worth reading.

If you don't want to be required to respond to sellers you buy from, then you need to create a second, buyer only account. That's the only way to differentiate between messages that require a response (everything in your seller account) and messages that don't necessarily require a response (messages you receive as a buyer). Otherwise, if everything is in the same account, then it's expected to follow the same rules.

@YellowPorchVintage: "Etsy will not correct my score." Unfortunately there is nothing to correct. As it says right on your Star Seller page and elsewhere, you need to reply to (or mark as SPAM) the FIRST message of EVERY NEW INCOMING THREAD within 24 hours. It does not matter who sent it, the subject matter, if it is a duplicate or blank or anything else.
