I had my star seller status due to not responding to a message from a buyer in which we were already communicating in another message thread on etsy. I responded to the buyer, and refunded their purchase, but was still docked due to not responding to both messages they send at the same time.
You have to answer every message within 24hrs, or mark them as spam. Answering one and ignoring another is not good enough. You can mark the unanswered one as spam now and it should fix it for the badge next month, but it may cause issues if that buyer tries to contact you again.
We have to respond to EVERY NEW message, or put it into spam.
If they send you a message and you reply in the refund message box or the order message box those won't count as an answer to the message.
