I keep getting messages that I need to nail things more quickly to restore my star seller status. I may mail same day or as soon as USPS reopens in the case of a Sunday or holiday. Please explain.
Go into your settings and your shipping profiles and see what you have checked for week-end days. You can include or exclude these as processing days. Excluding will prevent needing to mail on Sun.
I usually ship the same or next day but have my processing time set at 1-2 days. the extra day gives me a bit of contingency. I also have week-ends Sun as a non-processing days.
You can also go to your Star Seller tab and download the csv files. They provide detail about what you got dinged for.
I've got mine set to 1-3 business days. I do ship in a timely fashion but that gives me a bit of cushion in case life gets in the way and it won't ding me on my star seller status. Life is too chaotic to constantly drop everything and pack it right away. I've been doing this for years and I get a lot of "shipped fast" remarks in my reviews and that saves my sanity to only pack and ship a couple days a week instead of all willy nilly all over the place.
Also they don't count postal holidays. If you last Ship day was a Monday and the PO was closed you get dinged for shipping late.
I can see on your shop that you don't have the "smooth shipping" button.. so if you go to your star seller page.. and click on "download Message and Order history" you can see what Etsy dinged you for and how you lost your star seller badge ( if you had it). Compare those notes to your tracking receipts and see what the difference is.. if you can prove your side- contact etsy and explain to them. If not-- at least figure out how to improve for this month.
@MaineCoastStoles: "Star seller miscalculated" The Star Seller metric for shipping is very simplistic and binary - either you marked the order as complete on or before the scheduled ship by date with a verifiable tracking number or you did not.
If you feel that you have shipped everything on time, then you need to check the applicable CSV file on your Star Seller page (last review period for March star) to see what Etsy thinks is late or otherwise has something wrong with it. In particular make sure that *Had processing time?* = yes, *Ship by* has a date, *Tracking/label date* has a date, and *Shipped on time?* = yes. Remember that Star Seller dates / times are in UTC not your time zone.
