Star seller badges not functioning

Star seller badges didn't calculate for my Oct-Dec time. I met all requirements except the price amount  ($275 instead of $300, I refuse to over price!). So why don't I still have the other badges? This program has had issues since the creation, especially the notion of selling a certain monetary amount will make me a better seller. Happier maybe.

You have to meet all of the requirements, including the amount of sales, in order to get a star seller badge. Not hitting any one of the requirements keeps you from getting a star seller badge. It's not just whichever ones you hit, you have to hit them all.

Thanks, yes. However the previous month I had individual badges, for speedy shipping and fast replies. Those are now gone?

Re: Star seller badges not functioning

The amount of sales/dollar total is the baseline. Yes, you can't get star seller without hitting all requirements, but you can't get any of the other badges without hitting those minimum numbers first. If you had them before, then your sales in the previous months were just enough to put you over the edge and into the badge realm. Since you were at $275 for this period, then it's not unreasonable to think you hit the $300 in the period before.

@weartothedance The Orders/Messages/Reviews Badges for the Past Review Period (01 Oct to 31 Dec) only show IF the Revenue minimum of USD $300 and Order Number of 5 Orders are FIRST met.

Current Review Period (01 Nov to 31 Jan) Badges will not show until o1 Feb and, then, ONLY IF Revenue minimum of USD $300 and Order Number of 5 Orders are FIRST met.

maggiemaybecrafty said it yesterday, they didn't get any of the badges because they were a few dollars short of the $300 minimum.

So, first hit the 5 sales/$300 minimum, then you are eligible for the mini badges. If you get all 3 mini badges (or 2 for digital sellers, as they don't need tracking), then you get the purple star.

" I met all requirements except the price amount ($275 instead of $300..."

You answered your own question. You have to meet the $ and sales # minimums first to even be eligible to receive the star or the individual badges. If you didn't meet those requirements then you aren't eligible to receive any badges.

The sales minimums are to establish you are a legit seller and to keep the dodgy from selling a $2 item once a month and getting a badge.

Re: Star seller badges not functioning

The same happened to me, not enough in sales volume. I had all badges and lost them because I was short by a few dollars in sales. I also don't get why Etsy doesn't let us keep the other badges we earned. I have always done pretty well for sales until the last few months and my legitimacy was established here years ago. It makes more sense to me to remove the badges that didn't meet the qualifications and be allowed to keep the rest.

Re: Star seller badges not functioning

I've been within a few cents.  They lowered the number of items from 10 down to 5 to appease the high-end sellers, but they won't lower the required $ amount to help out the sellers with a lot of small sales.  That is typical Etsy.
