I met all star seller criteria for last month and was not awarded the badge. I got 100% response rate, 5.0 review average, 100% on time shipping, and 0 cases.
why was my badge not awarded? I can’t work it out?
FYI this is for my other store - PastelPlaygroundCo
It is not figured on a 1 month basis but the past 3 months.
Sometimes Etsy makes a mistake but they will not fix it--even if the mistake is theirs.
Do you have all these?
Message response rate: Respond to at least 95% of first messages within 24 hours
Shipping: Ship at least 95% of orders on time with tracking or an Etsy label
Reviews: Maintain a minimum average rating of 4.8
Sales: Make at least five sales worth $300 or more
Time on Etsy: Have been on Etsy for at least 90 days since your first sale
Time on Etsy: Have been on Etsy for at least 90 days since your first sale
Looking at review and listing dates, that was the most likely reason.
Did you have 5 sales in the past three months that brought in more than $300 before shipping, taxes etc? That still seems to be a requirement from what I ready yesterday.
I don't know if it has any bearing on star seller but neither of your shops are finished--you have no policies , nor do you have an about page and on the one shop you do not even have an announcement. All of that might play into it also.
If you read closely through all the rules for SS, you'll find that there are other additional reasons that a shop may not get the badge.
Adhering to all site rules and policies is vital, and site violations like TM and IP infringement could knock a shop off their SS spot.
ETA, why did you not post from the other shop? Makes things much easier!
@cc8i3ydr: Since your oldest review is from June, the obvious question is how long ago was your first sale.
Star Seller is calculated only on the 1st of each month, and on that day it must have been more than 90 days since your first sale, then you need to have met the order quantity and volume requirements during the preceding three month period, and only then are the other metrics considered.
As an aside, you need to include YOUR licensing information for any trademarked and copyrighted names and images in your shop in your listing, otherwise buyers (and Etsy) may conclude they are counterfeits. Including the licensing information will show that you are not selling those items illegally and people in the forum will be to help you. Since you say that you are creating these yourself, the intellectual property (IP) owners will have a slam dunk case for counterfeiting and more if you do not have permission to use their IP.
I have a feeling that all the counterfeit sticker images is part of the problem.
The shop she used to post with has been closed now so I wonder what is going on.
Her shop she was posting from went to "vacation mode" almost instantly after I made my 2nd post above. I had JUST looked at her open shop to what she was selling and went back for a 2nd look and boom! It was closed. Just weird.
ETA: She was selling vintage in the shop sh was posting from.
You have to have made 5 sales and earned $300 (it might be more in AU$). These metrics don't show in your Star Seller on your dashboard when you meet them so the only time you would see them is if you didn't qualify.
