I was wondering if anyone has had problems with their dispatching Star Seller Badge being incorrectly adjusted due to issuing a refund. A customer ordered an item accidently so I refunded the purchase. The refund does not have a dispatch tracking number due to it NOT being shipped which then made my badge percentage score go down. I also have another order that clearly has a tracking number but is being calculated as not having one. I provide good customer service and my reviews reflect that! These small issues with the Star Seller Badge program get to be frustrating.

@WalnutCottageCo If it was a full Refund, did you Cancel as well as Refund? That should remove the Order from your "Sold" items

The second issue - tracking number not being acknowledged. Is the Tracking Number accessible on the "Aftership" data base? Did you upload the Tracking within your Processing Timeframe? Etsy uses NY (Brooklyn) time and, sometimes, this can cause issues for Shops operating in different Time Zones.

@WalnutCottageCo If it was a full Refund, did you Cancel as well as Refund? That should remove the Order from your "Sold" items

The second issue - tracking number not being acknowledged. Is the Tracking Number accessible on the "Aftership" data base? Did you upload the Tracking within your Processing Timeframe? Etsy uses NY (Brooklyn) time and, sometimes, this can cause issues for Shops operating in different Time Zones.

@WalnutCottageCo   How long ago did you ship the package in question? Has the package been scanned? Our experience is that the CSV file is often behind reality. If the shipper is supported by Etsy make sure that the shipped date, tracking number and shipping company show correctly on the actual order. Etsy relies on a third party vendor for tracking and often recent shipments are not correctly / timely updated.

You have to cancel too.   Separate step from refunding.

When you need to cancel/refund an order, always use a browser and choose the one-step cancel option. This way, it cancels and refunds at the same time. I know the option isn't available in the old app. I'm not sure about the new app.
