Hi there.
I received an order on 11/17 for a product with a 1-3 day processing time. I shipped out on 11/18 with valid tracking info. My star seller shipping stat dropped later that night citing that this order was missing tracking info and not shipped on time. It was shipped one day after order! and is well on its way to the customer with multiple scans within the USPS system. Why would this happen? How can this be fixed?
Why would it happen? Etsy glitch. Will they fix it? I have not heard of them fixing any SS issues even when it is a glitch on their end. You best hope the buyer doesn't try to open a case as Etsy would totally refund them out of your account.
I have a low response score yet I have answered every email within 24 hours. I'm guessing it's because once I've acknowledged an order and the buyer says "thank you" I don't reply to that and it's seen as a no response. I gave up on star seller a while back as I'm not going to achieve it due to low sales figures and now this no response issue.
Frustrating! I am so close to Star Seller but the more I read about it it doesnt seem like it is something to worry too much about.
Wait 24 hours. Once it is in transit the system should update. Etsy says to give 24 hours at least for the star seller to update,
there is a problem about the updating after 24 hours. My stat's didn't update and it has been 2 days. I have mentioned this problem to Etsy.
it updated!
@LindeDesigns: We are at the mercy of if, when, and how often AfterShip updates the orders.
@BagmakerSupply yeah and Etsy told me Aftership doesn't work with our shipping company so just take another one (there isn't another one). The funny part? I contacted Aftership: our shipping company does work perfectly with Aftership and the problem is with Etsy, but Etsy refuses to fix their problem. All my orders show 'pre-transit' and are delivered in real life.
@MapleHollowFarm: A quick search of this forum will show you that you are not alone in this. Have the packages been scanned? Often the CSV file is often behind reality. If the shipped date, tracking number and shipping company show correctly on the actual order usually a day or two after the package has been scanned the CSV file updates to show tracking and shipment status and Star Seller will auto adjust.
Frustrating. Yep, package was scanned on pickup. Tracking info reflects that as well.
This is a known Etsy Glitch.. been happening to me now for about 3 months. If I just wait a day or 2 it rights itself and all is good. I now don't even look at Star Seller page until the end of the month. I have spoke to Etsy help about this and at the start they did manually correct it for me.. but now it happens almost daily.
@MapleHollowFarm What does the Shipping CSV show? Look at Column D "Had Processing Time". If there is a NO alongside any Order the Tracking will not update because the system does not have a "last" shipping date against which to match the actual shipping date and, thereby, assess if it was "on Time" or "Late".
Alternatively, the package may have "missed" the first scan , But next time it is scanned along the journey, the system should update successfully. Sometims this takes a few days and that is why Etsy counts Orders on 30/31 Day of the Month in the Next Month's stats for SSP
processing time indicates "yes" but shipped on time indicates "no" and in the tracking number column it just shows "--"
If Column G (Tracking/Label Date) is "--" then the system is not recognizing your Tracking Number, for some reason.
You have 3 days to update / change Tracking Numbers so, perhaps, go nack and double check the entries for the Orders with "__".
You are in the US so, if you used Etsy Labels these should udate automatically in the Tracking system. If you ued another service an manually entered the Tracking Number, perhaps you need to check you did this correctly?
@MapleHollowFarm Yes please wait 24 hours. I had the same thing happening and I did correct itself. Good Luck!
update! The Star Seller stat has been corrected. Took about two days after the initial scan. Thanks for all your input.
