Star Seller - "Not shipped on time" for orders under $10

I have 4 orders that are displayed as "not shipped on time" because they don't include tracking, yet they are under the $10 required ETSY threshold, so naturally I don't include tracking. Including tracking on these small orders isn't feasible. Why am I still being dinged on those 4 orders? It nearly knocked me out of Star Seller for August.

It's mind blowing that I even have to point this out. Have you not considered this prior to launching Star Seller?

Orders under $10 don't require tracking, but they do if you want them to count towards the little star. Etsy never claimed they were exempt from the SS metrics, just like messages from sellers you bought from count in the messages category.

So basically they force you to provide tracking because ETSY doesn't offer USPS Letter size for labels. Right?

@fluxprdx  : I believe that the rule for the under $10 orders is "include tracking or purchase a shipping label on Etsy" to qualify for Star Seller. Did you purchase the labels for those orders through Etsy?

I purchase them through Endicia because ETSY doesn't offer a USPS Letter option.

You can print USPS labels for letters and flats through Etsy.

There is no $10 threshold for Star Seller.

All orders in US$ must have tracking or an etsy label.

The $10 threshold for shipping is for this, a completely different program:

Orders under 10€ don't require a tracking number. And you can get your star seller status.

@Bibolde The requirement for "Ship with Tracking or an Etsy Label " is different for some Countries for SSP metric calculations

"Orders of a certain value will need to have tracking or a shipping label purchased on Etsy. The requirement values are based on currency."

OP is in the US, so, if his Shop Currency is set to USD, there is no $ value "exemption" as for Shops which sell in GBP, EUR, CAD or AUD.

GBPated	£10 and above
EUR	€10 and above
CAD	$15 and above
AUD	$15 and above
All other currencies (inclusive of USD)	Tracking or a shipping label purchased on Etsy required for all orders.

Note: It is specifically stated that the "Total Order Value" is Listed Price BEFORE discounts. This has caused many Sellers issues as they were looking at "Order Total Value" AFTER discounts

Why is OP being dinged? Because Etsy created SS as a tool to make sellers stress over something that does not help them sell their wares.

 Or.....Because the OP cares about attaining the SSP Badge? It is important to some Sellers. Perhaps it should be just as important as adhering to the TOUs for Selling?

There is no $10 threshold for the star seller.  95% of ALL orders must have tracking.
