Noticed my star seller rating was downgraded, stating three orders did not have tracking info. When I downloaded my shipping history that was provided, and clicked over to the orders marked NO for tracking info, the tracking information is right there in the original order. So what gives???
Hello @AllenesAttic,
We've double-checked the orders that affected your Star Seller and it appears that the tracking numbers can't also be tracked on the carrier's website. In cases like this, it is possible that the number entered may not be the tracking number, or a slight error may have been made in entering the number.
Please check the carrier and the tracking number match. If the carrier and tracking numbers do not match, this will count as an invalid tracking number. You can also check our help center article explaining how to add or edit a tracking number. While the on-time shipping metric won’t recognize tracking added after the shipping date, remember that orders older than three months will not count toward Star Seller metrics.
Thank you very much!
Hello @WilsonsNewDream,
Kindly know that our team has pushed a fixed recently which will prevent new orders to be stuck at pre-transit. However, we're still working on updating previous orders that are stuck at 'pre-transit' so they won't have any negative impact on things like Shipping Score.
On the other hand, as we checked the orders affecting your Star Seller, we can confirm that the tracking events are now showing on Etsy. Please know that it may take about 24 hours for this score to update.
On the other hand, prior to posting in a thread in the Forums, we ask that you please check if you are not bumping an old thread that hasn't seen any activity in a few months (or years, even). If that is the case, and you still would like to share your thoughts and get the conversation going - whether about this or similar topics, we ask that you start your own thread instead of bumping an old one.
Please note that reviving old threads can cause confusion for members reading, so always check the dates of the most recent replies before posting. You can find this information on the top-left corner of each message, just below the member's username and profile picture.
Having said that, we are closing this thread as it is indeed a bit older.
Thank you very much!
Where do you buy your postage? If Etsy is unable to integrate fully with your shipper, they may not see all tracking events and the order may appear as pre-transit on Etsy. If it is still showing pre-transit past the ship by date it will be counted as late shipment. If the badge means that much to you, using Etsy labels will always count as shipped.
I use the USPS click and ship and enter all the information into the Etsy app as I prepare the items for shipping. No packages go out before their info has been entered, so I know there's a corresponding tracking number. And the information is in my shipping history, so I know Etsy has it. Apparently, it is a bug that Etsy is addressing....
@AllenesAttic: There are a number of threads about this in this forum. Do the affected orders show a processing time? You might want to take a look at https://community.etsy.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Order-shipped-on-time/m-p/139543093
Thanks for the info. Glad to hear Etsy is working on fixing the bugs. : )
I just now have an order that was shipped on time but shows not shipped, with no tracking. Will this be fixed???
I don't know if the ap is the problem, I would use the browser to put in info instead of the ap.

Hi! I'm also having this problem. According to the excel sheet I needed to ship by Mar 7. I shipped on Mar 6, have the tracking info and it goes through to the USPS website. Is there any way to fix this?
