Star Seller incorrect calculation

A customer of ours accidentally gave 4 stars in his comment on May 21, 2023. The score dropped to 4.5. It wasn't enough to get a Star Seller. Our customer corrected his review to 5 stars. My score was 4.8. I was supposed to get Star Seller in June, but your system didn't make the correction, leaving it at 4.5 points. It showed 4.8 to 01 July.
I was awarded the Star Seller badge in June. but the system did not.

We've double-checked the review that affected your Star Seller for the previous review period, and it appears that your buyer updated their review on May 31, 2023 21:25 EST, which is after the calculation period. Please know that when calculating a seller's Star Seller status at the end of the month, we use UTC, not the seller's local time zone. This may be confusing because the messages and shipping CSVs are converted to a seller's own time zone, but the cut-off for new or any changes on reviews and shipping details to be considered in a seller's status is 11:59pm UTC on the last day of the month.

Etsy Support is not here (I assume that's whom you are addressing as "you.") You're only addressing other sellers in Forums. We can't check your data. Email Etsy if you want them to look at your data.

Badges are based on the previous 3 months, so June 1st awards include March, April, and May. You have a 2-star review from March that will fall off your scoring for the next period (July 1st).

Pretty sure that I read in the forums that the Star Seller program does not recalculate if someone changes their review. In other words, whatever their original star rating was is the one used for the Star Seller badge.

This is crazy.  I had a customer that made a mistake, I have an older audience and they have problems with the review system, the stars change quickly.  She fixed it, yet it still remains, this is completely bogus.

I think that the shop's star rating does recalculate if a rating is changed, but not Star Seller program.

This. The first rating is what they count. And they don't change SS data even if there is a glitch or error on their part. I had one that said no tracking on the CSV when the tracking was visible right on the order and marked delivered. Tough cookies to me!

etsy is not good at these things. gives misleading data. Doesn't fix errors. Not safe.

They send people to the forums knowing nobody here can  fix anything..only deliver the bad news they don't give. That is terrible customer service.  At least tell them the truth "the first review is what is counted and we do not update SS data."

I had a bit of a dustup here in these forums a few weeks ago and it was incorrect but it is what it is.

I did try chat for the first time ever, and after some go around and waiting...I was told to post my issue in the forums where others may be able to help me.

The really laughable part, in a horrible sort of way, was that I was contacting because I couldn't post in the forums.

LOL Now that is some awesome CS. I actually saved the transcript because when I need a laugh, I re-read it. ; )

My Star Seller collection today showed incorrect information. I'm working very hard to get that badge and recently sold 6 items and it was $211 showed on the star seller page. Today, it's showed 5 sales and its only$195. How can that be? What is the point of that Star Seller if there is no one keep an eye on the technical issues. My shop experience a website technical issue and Etsy engineers still "fixing" since beginning of November. No phone number to reach Etsy like years before. All others like Amazon, Ebay have phone number or you can get return call but not Etsy. Etsy chat or email and you feel like you knocking in to the empty room. No one answer.

Because it's the 1st and we are in a new 3 month period for star seller. That means everything from the month of September dropped off for the current 3 month review period calculations. 

So last review period was September- November. Today its a new month so the current review period is October - December. The dates for the review periods its calculating are all there on the star seller dashboard.

Was one of the sales in September?

If you're looking at the current review period, that's actually if you are on track for the January badge and include sales from October-November-December.

All sales from September dropped off today, as it's now calculating for the next review period.

I am a star seller. Since my store opened, I have not delayed any of my orders. But surprisingly a few days ago in the star seller tab:
3 orders missing processing time
2 orders missing tracking info
I saw you wrote.
In the Shop Manager - Orders&Shipping tab, it is clearly stated that there is absolutely no "missing processing time and missing tracking info" along with the dates.
If this bug is not fixed I will lose my Star Seller Badge next month. I've already experienced a huge drop in my store traffic. However, I spend a lot of time and effort developing my ETSY store.
I request ETSY employees to correct this error immediately.

@AyMuDuStudio: Have you checked the applicable CSV file on your Star Seller page to confirm which order(s) Etsy thinks was shipped without verifiable tracking?

"3 orders missing processing time" This is a long standing bug where some orders "lose" their processing time. Not sure if anyone has been able to get it reversed in the underlying Star Seller data.

"I request ETSY employees to correct this error immediately." Just so you know, even if Etsy Support or the Help Pages sent you here this is a seller peer to peer forum, and should not be considered a way to contact Etsy, if that is your hope (although Etsy does sometimes read and reply to posts).

Thank you for the information. As of today, the issue has largely been resolved. However, the '1 order missing processing time' error still persists. I believe this will be fixed as well, because it has happened to me before and it was automatically resolved by the end of the month. I hope this will be fixed too.
