My Star Seller status was taken away because I didn’t respond timely to a spam/scam email from Tik Tok. I’m respectfully requesting that Seberbele Fragrance be reinstated to Star Seller status.
Thanks, Angela Seber
We have to answer every new message or put into spam. Etsy will do nothing to reinstate.
If it is a spam e-mail it takes two seconds to mark it spam. That is what the button is for. If marked as spam you will not get dinged.
Etsy will not fix our mistakes - nor should they. To any sellers that have not yet read the rules for SSB, now might be the time to do so as there are other rules that could be a potential pitfall.
@Seberbelle Etsy does not respond to comments like this on the forums. They are not going to change your SS status based on what you are saying. However, if you want to contact Etsy, you can begin by using chat.
Sadly, Chat will probably send them to the forum!

This is a seller forum and Etsy doesn't monitor it for things like this. Etsy won't fix something that's caused by seller error. You can try to go back and mark the message as spam but there's no guarantee it'll fix your star seller status.
@Seberbelle: The Star Seller metric for messages is very simplistic and binary - either you replied to (or marked as SPAM) that first message of a new incoming thread within 24 hours or you did not.
If the unanswered new thread is not a Help Request, at least for the time being, it appears that marking an unanswered new thread as SPAM (even after the 24 hour deadline has passed) will cause your reply percentage to change in a day or two (but not retroactively) if the original message was within the current star seller period. Note that subsequent messages from that account may go directly to the SPAM folder.
