I have been working on my badges hard last 3 months. I have earned one for reviews and wanted second one for speedy shipping. I have managed to reach 95% and on 30th September 2022 I had an outbreak of internet connection in my building and could not gain access to Etsy. My phone is in the service atm due to broken screen so ideas to use 4G are not ideal.
And of course what has happened? 6 or 7 orders were due to be completed by the end on 30th September and of course got LATE !! I could not log in as for whole day was zero internet. On 1st October I went to my friend and logged in and what I see - shipping performance drops to 93% and no badge earned.... Even tho I have updated all dispatch dates to 1st and then completed them and added tracking details, still no progress.
Can someone have a look and help, as it's clear this was beyond my control and all parcels were ready to be posted, just freaking labels and click on Etsy "completed". It's so annoying, now I feel like whole effort is worthless. Same story with orders which are being collected by the buyers - what about them? HOW it's possible to mark them "tracking exempt" as are actually being collected - it also lowers our stats. It all is super unfair and makes no sense.
Thanks
@GlassGardensLondon : Probably almost everyone on this forum can sympathize with you but there are innumerable threads about your exact issue. This is a seller peer to peer forum, and should not be considered a way to contact Etsy, if that is your hope (although Etsy does sometimes read and reply to posts).
As to your question about pickups: if you have not yet done so, you might want to read https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/4403058372503-How-to-Become-a-Star-Seller?segment=selling and https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000338067-How-to-Offer-Local-Pickup-or-Delivery?segment=s...
Will local pickup orders be part of my evaluation for a Star Seller badge?
All physical listing orders must include a valid tracking number or a shipping label purchased on Etsy to be considered for a Star Seller badge. At this time, we’re unable to make exceptions for local pickup orders.
This also applies to delivery orders.

Well actually I am here as Etsy customers service adviced me to do it and write it here. Now I can see it makes no sense...
Unfortunately there's going to be 1000s of sellers with a valid reason for not getting the SS.
@GlassGardensLondon Shake it off and move forward. We can't control what happens, only how we react to what happens.
Already done it. Whatever.
If you shipped late, you shipped late, therefore no badge.
I would be worried more about customer service, than the blue badge.
When the area where I live in Cornwall, lost power and internet for days, because of storm Eunice in Feb, I took my laptop and drove, to where there was power and internet connection in a cafe..... and it was warm - I didn't want to leave, as it was cold, wet and windy in February, and we had no power/heating for days, and no internet for up to 2 weeks.
there are normally options for when things like this happen,
Do a list for future
I have no mobile signal either, where I live, so that wouldn't have been an option.... and the post office in the shop wasn't open, the shop wasn't, as the tills wouldn't work.
.....
if the orders are over £10.00, they need tracking, that's it
You are a hero then, I am not. My customer service is great, as the one badge I actually have since day 1 is the raving reviews one
I am female, so it would be heroine, not hero
however, I consider myself a business person.
and if the orders are late, they are late
if orders need tracking , they need tracking
and if you want the etsy badge, you have to follow the Etsy requirements.
I didn't go to the cafe, for the badge, I went for my customers
( and the tea and chocolate cake and warmth was the reward)
@GlassGardensLondon chat support sends many to the Forums regarding star seller and other issues because they can't do anything about the badge. It's unfortunate this happened to you but your efforts are not "worthless". Cheer up, you can still achieve the badge at a later date.
