Star Seller affected due to an error that says listings are missing processing time

As of 7/24/24, my Star Seller has been negatively  affected due to an error that says listings are missing processing time yet, all listings/orders have a processing time and cannot be published on the site without one.

 

I contacted Customer Service and they told me to post here.

 

Hopefully this issue can be resolved and I will get the Seller Badge that I earned.

@MolecularMotifs: This is an on going issue that has been reported numerous times recently in this forum where some orders "lose" their processing time. There is a November 2022 response ("solution") from an Etsy Admin to this issue at https://community.etsy.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Missed-star-seller-due-to-apparently-missing-processi...

Based on other posts in this forum, the ability to have this corrected by support seems to be rather hit or miss depending on who you get. The suggestion has been made to NOT mention Star Seller when contacting support about issues like this.

Etsy support always directs users here for help when Star Seller is involved, no one here can help, as we are sellers only. And Etsy will not do anything about any incorrect data involving SSP, sorry,

This is the one thing that I think Etsy needs to fix when it happens.

IT IS A FACT THAT WE CANNOT PUBLISH A LISTING WITHOUT PROCESSING TIMES.

If they disappear at some point, it ain't our fault -

Reiterating - this is the only time I think Etsy should step in.

Amazing how the support people who are being paid by etsy, are sending sellers with issues to the forums to be handled by people not being paid by etsy.

As of 7/27/24, the exact same thing happened to me. I've been a Star Seller a long time. Infuriating. I even shipped the order EARLY that is in question. Same thing, customer service said to report it here. I'm being penalized by shipping an order EARLY? I've had the same processing time on this item since 2022. Unreal. Etsy, get it together!

@waxandwanewands: "I'm being penalized by shipping an order EARLY?" No, you are being penalized for a glitch affecting a metric that should not even exist. In this case, when you shipped is irrelevant.

While Etsy can, and has, made changes to the underlying data so that the stats auto update, it is clear that Etsy support has neither the authority or ability to manually change the Star Seller stats. So I suspect that as soon as they hear 'Star Seller' the majority stop listening and refer you to the forum as they are instructed to do.

It has been suggested to not mention Star Seller when contacting support so your inquiry is not summarily brushed aside.

Just so you know, even if Etsy Support or the Help Pages sent you here this is a seller peer to peer forum, and should not be considered a way to contact Etsy, if that is your hope (although Etsy does sometimes read and reply to posts).
