On July 1st, I received a notice that I was a Star Seller for July.
"Congrats PaulZozem you’re a Star Seller for July!"
But the usual Star Seller badge is no longer being displayed on my shop.
This has got to be a technical glitch. Any advice would be appreciated.
Here are my current Stats: (copy and pasted) https://www.etsy.com/shop/PaulZozem
Response rate: 100%
Shipping: 100%

Don't know where you are looking but the badge is there. Left side of the window directly below your city and state.
hmm. I see it above the state and country but beside the shop name. how many store front formats are there I wonder?
@GroundZeroCreations It's where it's always been ... at the top of the shop adjacent to the shop owner's avatar.
@GroundZeroCreations I'm also seeing it the same place where UppNorth sees it. Are you mistaking the gold star (before the 5.0) for the SSB star?
@UppNorthEh My first thought too - how many shop front tests are going on?!
@UppNorthEh @PrairiePrimitives @TheVintagePineapple
I wonder if it has anything to do with whether it is being viewed on a laptop, ipad, phone, what browser, etc.
I am on desktop with chrome browser
I see the original view on my phone (app) with individual badges showing.
@GroundZeroCreations Device and browser, etc. are almost certainly part of it. And, as happens every year, this is "Etsy testing season" where they screw with stuff so they know what to SuRpRiSe us with just as the holiday shopping season is getting started. It's always fun times around here. LOL!
Does your shop front page layout look different overall? I have read that they are testing front page layouts and the test may have moved everything around which may include where star seller bits show.
For what it's worth, I'm not in the test and see your Star Seller star and your badges where they usually are.
yes you have it in the new front page. right at the top beside your shop name. purple star.
^^ this.
@PaulZozem You have to hover over it in order to find out what the purple star means.
I’m seeing the same as The Vintage Pineapple, I have to hover over the purple star next to OP’s name.
Yes. Below my city and state I see this: 5.0(1.1k) 3.8k sales 14 years on Etsy
There used to be a large Star Seller banner across the whole top of the entire page, highlighting my achievements.
3.8k in sales and 14 years on Etsy is NOT a Star Seller endorsement. No one cares about that.
The big banner that used to be there included the Star Seller stats.
Response rate: 100%, Shipping: 100%, Average rating: 5
These stats let customers know how responsible I am. Not how many sales I've made.
The old Star Seller banner used to be the most prominent image at the top of my page.
Now, nobody is going to even notice that little purple Star Seller icon at the top of the page.
Wow! What a disappointment!! I guess they decided to de-emphasize the Star Seller program.
@PaulZozem The layout you're seeing means you are also in this newest test. You are not the only one complaining about it either, believe me. Let's hope it doesn't stay around much longer.
You didn't notice that the years Etsy says you've been a seller (14 years for you) is wrong? There seems to be many sellers in the 14 Year Group now. I can't complain (right now anyway) because I have been here for 14 years.
@PaulZozem Hi, I am also in this test. We also don't see the Individual Badges up at the top (Speedy Replies, Shipping, etc.). Our Shop Title has been moved as well; it is no longer betw. the Shop Name and Location. Now it's above the About Page (doesn't make a heck of a lot of sense).
In this test, our Profile Photo with Avatar and Name is missing from the top Right in the Shop Front. And the Sales No. (top Left) is no longer clickable (however, it is down below on the Left, under Sections).
Last month Etsy sent me a message saying I've been here 17 years. 17 years or 14 years?
Customers don't care about that. They'd rather hear how responsible I've been for the past month.
Hopefully, this new format will not last. Otherwise Star Sellers will see a decrease in Sales.
Irresponsible sellers will see an increase in sales. And Etsy will get a LOT of new cases to mediate.
No one is gong to notice that tiny little tiny purple icon. From a business standpoint...
This test is simple. Get customers to by more from irresponsible sellers = increase overall sales.
@PaulZozem Another Seller (TheOldBarnDoor), noticed that 14 Years is the highest Etsy is going. My 14 yrs. happens to be correct, but for those who have been here longer, it isn't.
It’s 16 years for me … Etsy even sent me a congratulatory message regarding that special landmark … and yet only 14 years is shown on my shopfront. SMH!
And that's so weird, since you keep hearing how etsy has been around for 20 years. You'd think they'd want to show that a lot of shops have been around a long time with the right number of years! I'm a few under 14, so mine is close to correct (they actually added a year), but I think its strange for anyone over 14.
Some people, myself included, like star seller displayed with the simple purple star. I thought all that verbiage filling the top of the page looked like a child's report card.
Curious ... what does a gold star mean?
@TBQSC That star (if you're viewing the new shop layout) is for the reviews.
I thought it was good for customers to instantly see the shop dispatched on time and answered queries quickly. Now they need to once again look for this hidden information by hovering over some random purple star.
Now all shops are starting to look the same
I see all three of your star seller badges - the old way. For a day or two I was seeing a different approach to displaying the star seller badges.
I'm on a laptop computer.
@PaulZozem I'm not in any test at the moment, I see your SS and all the badges.
