Good day. I just checked my star seller status and it is stating I am missing 5 tracking numbers on outgoing orders. I downloaded the sheet to verify. All the packages that state "missing tracking" were marked completed, tracking numbers, and and shipped prior to ship by date. Why is it stating tracking is missing? TIA
Hi there!
The star seller dashboard updates daily. For tracking, if a tracking number was added, it will only be valid once there is a tracking event that is showing on Etsy. Once the tracking events show already it will be reflected on the star seller dashboard after 24 hours.
Thanks!
You should be able to find a solution by searching the forums as others have had the same problem. Good luck.
@CritterCupCustoms: There are lots of threads about this in this forum. How long ago did you ship? Have the packages been scanned? Often the CSV file is often behind reality and recent shipments are not correctly / timely updated. Our experience is that a day or two after the package has been scanned the CSV file correctly shows tracking and shipment status.
If the shipper is supported by Etsy make sure that the shipped date, tracking number and shipping company show correctly on the actual order. Etsy relies on a third party vendor for tracking (and tracking number validation) and uses the data on the order. It also appears that orders without a processing time will count against the Star Seller metric.
I shipped them all on the 26th, via USPS and provided tracking information for all of them, and they have all been picked up scanned and now in various other distribution centers or in transit.

@BagmakerSupply Are you using Etsy labels?
@NanaLetha: No we do not, too much of our volume is off Etsy for us to even consider Etsy labels, plus we do not mark orders as shipped until after they have been delivered to the shipping company.
That's happening to me too. All of my orders have tracking.
It's a bug and Etsy won't correct the problems the bug has caused. I was at 100% going into October and now because of THEIR bug I am not. Just peachy!! AARRRGGGHHHH
Here's the link to the bug info that another seller graciously posted in my thread...

Same! It’s super frustrating
Same here as well!
I've also been dinged twice because an order somehow was missing its "ship by" date. I don't know how that happened.
I use Etsy labels for all my Etsy shipping. It's frustrating - I don't know how to fix this or prevent it from happening in the future.
The actual order was shipped WAY before the shipping date btw.

Same here, all orders have been delivered and show tracking within the past 12 months. In fact, I generally ship in less time than stated. Not to mention the dings for not responding fast enough via messages. So if I dont respond to someone saying "thank you" is this what is causing my dings? I always get back to people unless the conversation is over. I find it weird to keep responding just to keep stats up. I'm so done with this program.
@spuncotton: If you are not sure which messages Etsy thinks you did not answer in time, just look at the applicable CSV file available on your Star Seller page. And remember, you only need to answer the FIRST message of a NEW THREAD.
Thanks for the "first message" tip. The January report shows all messages replied to within 24 hours but says I need to try again to earn the badge. I also looked at my shipping for last two months and all packages are mailed within 2-3 business days. I can't see what ones on either becuase I didn't renew microsoft. It's just not a hoop I'm willing to jump through any more. Maybe when they work out the bugs?
@spuncotton: "I can't see what ones on either becuase I didn't renew microsoft." If you mean that you did not renew Microsoft Office, there are some very compatible and free alternatives like LibreOffice and OpenOffice that you can install.
