I have 5 orders that Etsy says has no tracking numbers which they all do. Please let me know if this can be corrected.
You can check your CSV by downloading from the Star Seller stat page to see which orders are affected. Do you manually enter tracking number or do you purchase Etsy labels. If purchasing Etsy labels, the tracking numbers would be correct, but entering them manually, all the details have to be correct, shipper and tracking number
Most often there was another error. Was the correct shipping carrier chosen from the dropdown menu? If the tracking was entered manually, it's possible there was an error made. Even if copied, if there is an extra space on either end that would make it so Etsy's system can't track them, and they're automatically disqualified. Did the items sold have a proper processing time attached? If their shipping profile(s) were missing the processing time, then they are automatically disqualified.
@pricelessbowtique: This issue has been addressed in many threads on this forum. How long ago did you ship? Have the packages been scanned? If the shipper is supported by Etsy make sure that the shipped date, tracking number and shipping company show correctly on the actual order. Etsy relies on a third party vendor for tracking (and tracking number validation) and uses the data on the order. Often recent shipments are not correctly / timely updated. Usually a day or two after the package has been scanned the CSV file correctly shows tracking and shipment status and the Star Seller stats auto update.
For the "latest" information, you need to check the applicable CSV file to see what Etsy thinks is late or otherwise has something wrong with it. In particular make sure that *Had processing time?* = yes, *Ship by* has a date, *Tracking/label date* has a date, and *Shipped on time?* = yes.
if you live in rural area & mail carrier picks up pkg's; if mail carrier doesn't have a Scanner in their vehicle they cannot scan picked up pkg's till pkg's get to Local post office then scanned into for tracking #. So we get dinged for having no tracking # on pkg's even though we give customer their tracking # on Every pkg shipped. on star seller. Etsy unfortunately doesn't recognize hours later or next business days pkg's tracking number is scanned by post office.
continued info from my comment: once post office scans pkg for tracking #; it usually takes hours-next business day for Etys system to recognize pkg is scanned & shipped. Then we get our Star seller On-time shipping & tracking
@TurtleCrossingArts: Our experience (and our CSV file) has been that even if the package does not show a scan for a day or two the "completed" date is respected as the shipped date.
All carriers have the hand held device. It could be your carrier has decided not to scan until it arrives at the post office. However the carriers are required to scan and if the post office assumes the carrier did they won't scan again after shipping off the packages.
Are you getting a receipt for the item? Use the scan sheet and require the carrier to scan the sheet.
You should contact USPS and file a complaint for not scanning.
If the package does not say accepted and in transit by the end of your processing time frame then Etsy can consider not shipped. One way to avoid is to have a processing time frame of several days and try not ship the last day of the processing time.
It can take 24 to 48 hours for Etsy stats to be updated for star seller.
@pricelessbowtique If you're not already, use Etsy labels. You'll save time effort and stress. For domestic mail at least.
Are you using Etsy labels? Using Pirateship? Are you getting a receipt for the scanning at the post office. I use the kiosk so my packages get first scan.
Are you shipping within your processing time frame soon enough so the scanning does not take place outside your processing time frame?
Wait 24 to 48 hours to see if the star seller stats update.
