Why am I held responsible to respond to a Conversation that is clearly FAKE, Or sketchy? 
In order to reach Star Seller Status, I must respond to all Conversations in less than 8 hours. Never mind that I set up an automatic response, through Etsy. I have no idea why this didn’t work.

Just mark it as spam and stats should update in a day or two.  All messages need a reply or they need to be marked as spam. Auto reply needs to be reset every five (I believe) days, unless you are in vacation mode.

You need to answer within 24 hours, not 8, when setting up the auto responses they are set for only few days at a time and must be reset, be sure they are set for longest, which is 5 days I believe,  and yes it is  ALL mail, must be responded to but only once. The bots don’t know if it’s spam, a seller, or a buyer or you’re best friend messaging you. If you don’t want to answer mark as spam, but at least do something.
