Star Seller Shipping miscalculated

This is the second time Etsy has docked me on shipping. Both times my WiFi was out and I had to go to the PO to get a shipping label. I plugged in the tracking info and marked both orders complete. You can clearly open tracking to see USPS tracking updates. I didn’t reach out about the first time but now it’s happened again. How does this get corrected? Both times orders were shipped out on time and with tracking numbers from USPS.

Was the tracking number manually added within the 24/48 hr deadline (I have seen both mentioned as the deadline for adding tracking manually)?  Was the tracking manually added in the last day or so of the month?  If so, it may not register quickly enough to be picked up by the system in time for the badge assessments.

@TLynnJewelryDesign:"... Etsy has docked me on shipping." Are they saying you shipped late or shipped without verifiable tracking? Those are two separate metrics.

"You can clearly open tracking to see USPS tracking updates." Do you mean if you click on the tracking number link on the actual order it opens the courier's tracking page and shows the scan history? Then you have proof that the tracking information was entered correctly. In that case you should pursue it - while Etsy will not manually adjust Star Seller stats they can, in some cases, fix the underlying data and then the Star Seller stats will auto update (but not retroactively).

"... marked both orders complete ..." Was the order shipped and marked as complete on or before the scheduled ship date?

It’s as if I never entered a tracking number or shipped the item. Etsy says item wasn’t shipped in time and there was no tracking number. Orders were marked complete the day I shipped which was on time.

@TLynnJewelryDesign: That may be hard one to convince Etsy that they had a glitch which wiped the data rather than that your failed to 'complete' the order.

Long before Star Seller was even thought of, we got into the habit of spending a few minutes daily checking the previous day's shipments to make sure that they were at least "in transit" so if something was wrong we could fix it within the 72 hour window we are allotted.

I appreciate your response. It’s happened twice when I wasn’t able to use Etsy shipping labels so wondering if that’s the reason. Do you get docked when you don’t use Etsy shipping labels? Still, the report shows I had no tracking number and item did not ship on time. Both are false as I shipped same day and entered tracking number when I returned from PO then completed the order. I wouldn’t know how to pursue with Etsy. I’d just like to know why this happened.

@TLynnJewelryDesign: Can't help you with a why it happened, only can say that we never use Etsy labels and have not had a problem with the tracking information disappearing.

Oh ok, thank you for that information. I’ll keep pursuing to try and find out the why then. I appreciate your help.
