A review that came in on November 30th was not counted in my reviews of Star Seller and now my Star Seller status has been removed. I also had a second sale that came in on November 30th and a review was left for that sale as well. Both that sale and review show as December even though the product is shown being downloaded in November. We as sellers work so hard to achieve this status and to have it removed, especially around the holidays and prime shopping effects our shops. How can this be fixed?
Hello @BrillianceBlooms,
Please know that when calculating Star Seller status at the end of the month, we use UTC, not the seller's local time zone. This may be confusing because the messages and shipping CSVs are converted to your own time zone, but the cut-off for new messages, reviews and shipping details to be considered in a seller's status is 11:59pm UTC on the last day of the month.
Thank you very much!
@BrillianceBlooms: Etsy (and Star Seller in particular) work on UTC not your time zone, so what is November 30 to you may be December 1 to Etsy.
And there is no evidence that being (or not being) a Star Seller has any effect on a shop's sales. Etsy is test and data driven and if they could prove that being a Star Seller increased your sales they would be shouting it from the proverbial rooftops.

Thank you for the info on the timing. Helps to understand it better.
Thanks!
