Star Seller Rating Help

To the Etsy team: I talked with Saidah in chat. She could not resolve and shared this link to contact you for further review. In July Irina Halbert customer sent two different messages threads. I responded to her questions and resolved her issues however I only did it in one thread. This is visible in my messages. This was counted against me for my Star Seller. I take Star Seller very serious and do not know why there were two threads to start. Please review to reinstate my good Star Seller rating. Let me know, thanks, Kris Malmberg

The SS info states very clearly that every new message must be answered. There is nothing to reinstate

There's no problem to resolve and that is the only reason why chat sent you here because they knew nothing could be done when you didn't answer one of the messages.

Etsy Support can’t make changes to your Star Seller data or manually award Star Seller badges. 

Etsy will not contact you through post here on the forums and will not reinstate your star seller badge.
The forums are just other sellers, though sometimes Etsy might chime in to move a thread or to close one down.

Star seller requires you have to answer ALL new messages or either mark as spam.
The rules have been clear for almost 3 years now.

If you got 2 messages from the same buyer, then you needed to reply to both of them.
Etsy has no way of knowing it was the same message or even from the same buyer.
The program only sees a new message and if replied to or not within 24 hours.

You could have replied on the 2nd message with "see other message".

Not a good idea to post full names in the forum, especially someone else's. Buyers expect a certain degree of privacy.

@TheHatLadyinWI: "... do not know why there were two threads to start" Subsequent messages from the same account (a buyer may have multiple accounts) are supposed to be combined into a single thread but there are exceptions. For example, Help Requests always start a new thread.

"... reinstate my good Star Seller rating ..." Unfortunately as it says right on your Star Seller page and elsewhere, you need to reply to (or mark as SPAM) the FIRST message of EVERY NEW INCOMING THREAD within 24 hours. It does not matter who sent it, the subject matter, if it is a duplicate or blank or anything else. Etsy has made it clear that they will not "fix" what they consider a seller's error.

"She could not resolve and shared this link to contact you for further review" While Etsy can, and has, made changes to the underlying data so that the stats auto update, it is clear that Etsy support has neither the authority or ability to manually change the Star Seller stats. When you mention 'Star Seller' they refer you to the forum as they are instructed to do.

You need to edit your post to remove any personal information as that is not allowed by forum rules.

"To the Etsy team ..." Just so you know, even if Etsy Support or the Help Pages sent you here this is a seller peer to peer forum, and should not be considered a way to contact Etsy, if that is your hope (although Etsy does sometimes read and reply to posts).
