Hello,
I received an order on the 30th later in the day and it never factored into my star seller data for September. With the amount that I got an order for I would have qualified for the star seller badge so I was wondering if there was anything that could be done. Thank you!
Sincerely,
Hope (Bz Bees Creations)
Hello there,
Please know that we determine what orders are included in your Star Seller by the order’s Ship By Date in UTC. However, we display all dates in the CSV breakdown in the seller’s timezone.
Thank you very much!
Hello @BzBeesCreations,
Please know that we determine what orders are included in the On-time shipping calculation by the order’s Ship By Date and not by the purchase date.
@NoFrogsAllowed, as of the moment, the Top shop for gifts is automatically calculated and we're currently unable to remove it. We will be taking this as feedback and we will share it with the team to consider for a future update. Please know that we take comments from the community to heart, and we make many changes to the site based on what we hear.
Thank you very much!
Here's what a Community Specialist has posted in several threads recently regarding Star Seller:
"We suggest using the Forums' Search function prior to posting (just be careful to not bump an old thread that hasn't seen any activity in the last months/years), as questions regarding the Star Seller Program have been extensively covered by our fellow members since its launch, as well as our official Star Seller Guide, which contains in-depth answers to some of the more common questions regarding Message Response Rate, Shipping, Local Pick-Up, Digital Orders, and other topics. You can check it out here:etsy.com/starseller. "
@BzBeesCreations It amazes me about sellers worrying about not getting stars on their shop front. I'm new, have sold 5 items and have one review of 5 stars and my shop front says
Top shop for gifts in the UK.
A buyer bought a gift from this shop and gave it a 5-star review!
What a load of tosh lol, 5 sales, one 5 star review, TOP SHOP ..... I wouldn't look at my shop has a whole and come to that conclusion.
Maybe it's because I'm new that I think that way, or maybe it's because it's not important as long as I know I provide first class service.
As a buyer on Etsy too, stars doing nothing to make me purchase from a shop.
I've been here for over 6 years, and I have the stupid "top shop for gifts" designation. It has been there for close to a year and I just wish it would go away. Etsy seems to feel it needs to fill that space with something no matter how useless.
@BzBeesCreations: This issue has been addressed in innumerable threads. First, you have entered the dreaded time zone trap. It seems that Etsy uses UTC for most things, but many "reports" are based on your time zone. September 30 to you may be October 1 to Etsy. Secondly, looking at other posts in this forum it seems that the last few days of a month routinely get rolled into the next month when doing Star Seller calculations.
Additionally there seems to sometimes be (an up to 24 - 48 hour) delay for Etsy's tracking vendor to update after the first scan.
On top of that there seem to have been issues with some orders shipped on or after September 22 that are not updating properly.
No, it missed the deadline, sorry
