This is the first I’ve dipped under 95%, so I downloaded the message info and 1.) it’s showing messages that aren’t in my inbox, including one that I’ve never replied to whatsoever and 2.) it hasn’t gotten on par with the data since March 11th and it’s the 22nd.
Is this normal? Will it sort itself out before the end of the month?
Honestly, I hate caring about such things, but Etsy has made it so—especially with sales down, inflation and shipping costs higher than ever.

We've double-checked the message that is affecting your Star Seller, and we can confirm that you put it on your Trash folder. Please remember that the Message response rate counts initial messages in new threads from all Etsy members, both buyers and other sellers. You may want to create a Saved Reply in order to quickly and easily answer messages from other Sellers. Using a Saved Reply within 24 hours will count as answering the message.
If the message you've received is not a spam message, it requires a response within 24 hours. If it is a spam message you can mark it as such and it won't count towards your score. Marking a message as spam will remove it from your inbox.

Etsy doesn’t read your messages. So they can’t fix it for you.
Yes, unfortunately there’s no spam button in the app. If you care about Star Seller and want to mark a message as spam, you will need to log into your Etsy account in a browser to do so.

I never got a message that anyone replied to this, but no, I never put anything in my trash. Why would I do that?
I have blocked a few people for spam/harassment, so if it was one of those folks, then yes. I see nothing in my trash.

I have put messages in trash by accident. The small arrow to return to the message list is right next to the small trash link, and without being extra careful, I’ve tapped on the wrong one. Fortunately, I figured out my mistake each time (so far).
Nah, this is a spammer and the name is signed Klaus, not Iris… hence the confusion. There is no “spam” marking option in the app, nor can I even access my trash message folder in the app. Helpful, indeed.
So now I’m getting punished for tossing spam into the trash. Gotta love Etsy. Making it harder and harder to do well on its platform. This really is just icing on the cake of my recent Etsy experiences.
So if you could see what was in my trash was spam, why did you not fix this for me (Etsy rep)?

I am unsure how to create my own post on here?? I have got a response rate at 83% but this is incorrect, I have replied to everyone within 24 hours. How do I fix this?
