One of my customers messaged me twice regarding the same issue on the same day. I responded to the first message and took care of her request and she was a very happy customer. However, the second message she had sent (regarding the same issue) I unfortunately missed it/did not see it and therefore did not respond to it within the first 24hrs. As a result, my message response rate dropped below the 95% and now there is a risk of my Star Seller badge not being awarded in the month of June. Is there a way to change my message response rate and disregard this second message that I had missed and already taken care of?
If you received it as a new message, no there is nothing you can do. It does not count if it is a second response in the same message thread. The only thing I can suggest is check your messages daily.
I take it that you have 1 answered and 1 unanswered messages - right?
ALL You need is 18 more answered messages to offset that 1 unanswered message.
No you can't change it. What would be the point of star seller if we could?
If one came through as a "Help Request" and the other as a regular message, you'll need to answer both. I answer the help request right away and then reply to the regular message with a "Hi NAME, I just responded to your help request."
@PurpleNestCreations: Unfortunately the Star Seller metric for messages is very simplistic and binary - either you replied to (or marked as SPAM) that first message of a new incoming thread within 24 hours or you did not. One of the two Messages must have been a Help Request, as those always start a new thread because they also start the clock ticking on a potential case being opened.
