I lost my star seller badge for the month of November because it only responded 90% of the messages within 24 hours during the month of October (50 within 24 hours, and 5 passed the 24 hs). Now, for the new dates (Data based on current review period: September 1–November 30, 2022), I have gotten over 15 new messages since November 1st (the first message received from the buyer/potential buyer) and since then, all new messages have been responded within 24 hours and it only went up 1% ! It is still showing the following:
-51 messages got a reply within 24 hours
-5 messages got a reply after 24 hours
Those numbers is 100% incorrect. I tried contacting Etsy support and they say the only way to get it fixed is posting it here... Any thoughts?
Hello @TheGifteryUS,
We've double-checked your Star Seller and it appears that you've received a total of 57 messages for the current review period and only 53 messages received a response within 24 hours. To tally your Message Response rate, you must divide the number of messages that got a reply within 24 hours by the total number of messages you've received. The result is the percent of messages that received a reply within 24 hours. This should match the percent that appears on the Message Response rate card.
As an example, 53 / 57 = 0.929, we will then round it to second decimal place: 0.93 = 93%.
Thank you very much!

They won't fix it no matter how you contact them
We can't fix anything, this is a seller forum for exchanging ideas/info
the stars you have showing now, are based on Aug/Sept/Oct, and, if you look at star seller stats, you click on "last review period" to see the numbers,
for the current period, you need to click on "Current review period"
the target is 95%, so for each non-reply, to a NEW message thread, you need 19 NEW message threads to go up 1% , (95% is 1 in 20)
if you have 5 non-replied message threads in 100, you will just be at 95%
Etsy does take a couple of days to apply new ones,
of you go to "current review period", you can download the CSV which shows all the messages
don't forget, for current stats, although you have all the new ones for Nov, all the good ones in August dropped off, and you will still have the "bad" ones in October counting
@TheGifteryUS: 51 Answered Messages divided by 56 Total Messages equals 91.07%

The rule of thumb is that it takes 19 on-time replies to make up for 1 late reply. That's why our percentages creep up so slowly.
