Star Seller Badges

We lost our star seller badge for shipping as the claim was that we added the incorrect tracking number. I pulled up the order our end and clicked on the number and it takes me straight to the shipper with all the details, therefore it was and is correct! I reached out for support but was told that they cannot do anything about it.....anyone else had this problem?

@secretstoragebooksco: Have you checked the applicable CSV file on your Customer Service page to confirm which order Etsy thinks was shipped without verifiable tracking?

If when you click on the tracking number link on the actual order it opens the courier's tracking page and shows the scan history then you have proof that the tracking information was entered correctly. In that case you should pursue it - while Etsy will not manually adjust Star Seller stats they can, in some cases, fix the underlying data and then the Star Seller stats will auto update (but not retroactively).

It has been suggested to not mention Star Seller when contacting support so your inquiry is not summarily brushed aside and the focus remains on correcting the bad data.

I always, ALWAYS include tracking and make sure it’s delivered

In the US, it is not that tracking is there but that the item is accepted by the party such as USPS and is in transit be the end of the processing time frame.

thank you for replying, I was told to post here and that they read the messages! and look into it.... they had said that they cannot do anything about it, it must suck for other sellers who get dinged as well and there is nothing wrong with the order/orders

While Etsy can, and has, made changes to the underlying data so that the stats auto update, it is clear that Etsy support has neither the authority or ability to manually change the Star Seller stats. So I suspect that as soon as they hear 'Star Seller' the majority stop listening and refer you to the forum as they are instructed to do.

@secretstoragebooksco   Are you completing the order and entering the tracking number the same day you take it to the post office?  If you delay even 24 hours then Etsy considers the item not shipped.  Doesn't matter if there is tracking or even delivered.  The order must be marked complete with tracking the same day you ship.  And it must be accepted by USPS or the courier you shipped with.

And if chat sent you here there is nothing we can do for you except offer advice.

I do not use Etsy labels now

I make this choice because I really like how my hand written labels look….artistic and handmade 

 I was thinking that might be why, that I should go back to using Etsy labels…I used to

@StoneHorseCeramics  I always use Etsy labels. Cheaper than taking to the PO and I never get dinged for not shipping on time or having a valid tracking number. Artistic is not important for a mailing label - efficiency is!
