Since the Star Seller Badge began, I have never missed a month of being a Star Seller. This month, I was docked points for “missing tracking” information, even though all my orders have had tracking. Several of my orders were placed by one customer at different times and for that reason, I shipped them all out together at the same time with one Etsy shipping label. I wrote down that information and put that tracking number into the other orders for the customer- yet Etsy docked me points and is showing saying that I missed tracking for these orders.
I’ve done this & used the same tracking number for each item or order—it should work! Maybe there’s a bug in the Star calculator?
@TheGibbyGallery: Did you check the actual orders to make sure that you entered the same shipping company and tracking number on all of them? Do any or all of the orders show as "in transit"? How long ago did you ship? We have noticed that sometimes when multiple orders have the same tracking number they do not all update at the same time.
Hi there! I went back to check, and all of my orders show as delivered with the full tracking history. All of the orders were delivered early on in the month. I wasn't watching the tracking closely (as it was happening) but looking back at it, it all adds up and looks correct to me.
You say you wrote down the tracking and entered it into each order. Is it possible you made an error when transferring this information? Even something as simple as an extra space at the beginning or end of a tracking number can make it untrackable to Etsy, it has to be exactly correct.
Hi Audrey, that's a good thought! I went back and checked all 5 of the customers orders and all of them say "delivered" and show the full tracking history.
You have to click on the "update progress"
Then enter the tracking number, in the tracking number field, exactly as it is on the label,
then mark as "complete"
so make sure you don't have leading spaces, and "0" and "O" are written correctly
You also have to do this , by the ship-by date, you can't do it later for star seller, although you can enter it 3 days later, etsy uses the date you entered for star seller.
.....
When you click on the tracking number, is it working? ie, do you get the progress come up? if not, you entered it incorrectly
Hi there, that all sounds like what I did. I updated the customer's orders, matching the tracking number exactly. I know this was done correctly, since I can go back and see the tracking history for all of the customer's orders. The number was added before I even left for the post office and I actually shipped the orders a week earlier than my ship-by-date.
does the CSV say the tracking is invalid, or the date was late?
there are 3 columns, which is the problem?
I am in the same shoes, I was always star seller since the program was introduced, and now first time not, exactly before Christmas period.
I am selling my original paintings, and in the last three month, everything is 100% , and only 5star reviews, and the money I made, is 3 times more of the minimum amount requirements.
The problem was that I although sold 5 paintings, one order were 2 paintings together, so it added up to 4 order ..
