I missed my Star Seller Badge this month due to sales under $350.00 "over the review period." If the review period is the last three months, my sales were more than $700.00, while over the last 2 months they were over $430.00. Can anyone tell me what the review period is for sales and how it is calculated? The information does not seem to jive with the calculations.
Thank you for your help.
Debra
The badge for Aug is sales from May, June and July.
Quote: Make at least 5 sales worth $300 to become a Star Seller your shop needs to meet the sales and orders minimum in the three-month review period. I think that is the actual sales not including postage and taxes so that can make quite a difference. For September it would include June, July and August sales.
@BeadsBowsAndBeyondCA: For the August star, it was your data from May, June, and July - you can see the details on the "Previous Period" tab. What is on your Star Seller page now is for the September star (June, July, and August data). Etsy is unclear on which figure they use for "order total" for Star Seller (any Etsy Admins around to clarify?) but in other places -- such as determining if an order requires tracking -- they use the amount before shipping, taxes or any discounts, essentially the item total line on your order.
Thank you for the reply Bagmaker Supply, I appreciate it. However, Etsy should be very clear on the requirements for sales as in the additional requirements and how it is calculated. When the Star Seller program started, sales were not included as part of the metrics. It is difficult enough to meet and maintain the initial requirements without having the extra added on. I sell small ticket items, so high sales are difficult for me, if I offer sales or discounts it lowers the overall sales further. We all work hard for our sales and qualifications, do you know when or why sales were added to the metrics?

The number of sales were included from the very beginning. When it first started, we had to make 10 sales. They reduced it to 5.
