Star Seller 100% Message Response Rate

100% seller response rate not showing correctly. Also, unable to open forum tabs to see how this was handled for others with the same problem. Contact Us has only "call me back" option, which is greyed out, and not clickable.

The Star Seller Dashboard defaults to "Current Review Period" which is 01 May to 31 July. These statistics will be updated on overall Star Seller ratings for Badge/s awarded on 01 August

If you look at "Last Review Period" you will see the statistics which were used for the Badge/s currently showing on your Shop Front (01 April to 31 June) which were awarded 01 July.

If the statistics show less than 100% response within 24 hours for my shop, then they are wrong.

Etsy doesn't notify me of new messages for many hours. That's why I don't wait for notifications. All messages are, and have been, replied to within minutes, or hours, whether they are the first contact or not. If it shows anything else, then the data is wrong.

Are you basing this on the applicable CSV file available on your Star Seller page (previous period for July Star)? When you look at the file remember that that the dates / times are in UTC (not your time zone), only the first message of a new incoming thread is included (all that counts for Star Seller), and usually a new incoming thread is not included until after the 24 hour reply window has passed regardless of when you replied. Keep in mind that the Star Seller metric is that the FIRST message of EVERY NEW INCOMING thread must be replied to (or marked as spam) within 24 hours.

Every single new incoming thread has been responded to within 24 hours, usually within minutes, since I opened my shop last year.  I am unable to open the CSV file to determine where the error is, as that is in a proprietary format that requires software that I do not have on the system that I use to run my shop.

Any spreadsheet application should be able to open a CSV file: Excel, Sheets, etc.

@EcoVintageArtGifts: The CSV format is not a proprietary format - if you provide some information about your system (device, operating system, etc) someone can help you with details about how to view the file.

It doesn't matter if I can open it at the moment. I shouldn't need to. If it shows that I ever failed to respond to a message within 24 hours, it is incorrect. I'll work on installing software to open additional formats when I have the ability to scan the content better for malicious content, or there is a need. Data corruption, and / or timestamp errors do not appear to be limited to the message replies. The platform is having significant issues. I do not give out my system information over the internet. Anyone at Etsy who could resolve the problem can already see that information.

I'm not pleased at all about opening that file, and accepting a eula to do it, but I did it. It shows a message, one, that I remember. I took half a day to respond to that one, which was the longest I had ever taken, and I felt terrible about taking that long. It's the only one in there. I honestly don't care if I get star seller status. My shop will be throttled back regardless until I pay for the privilege of more traffic. I hit that ceiling regularly.  I find data manipulation is a hot button for me. Others should be aware that this will happen to them, and there is nothing they can do about it. It just comes with the territory.
