I received a 2-star review from a customer because I inadvertently left out part of her order. She told me when it was corrected she would remove the 2-star review. I contacted her apologized profusely, overnighted her item, she received it and removed her rating but it is still being counted against me for Star Seller status. How can I get it removed from the average? I have almost 100% 5 stars. It is impossible to find an email to ask a question and this is never addressed anywhere I can find. Can anyone help me?
Thank you!
Hello @KitcheyKoo,
As per checking the reviews on your shop homepage, it seems that there is still a 2-star rating that the buyer left on July 6, 2022. If this is the rating that you're referring to, you may want to coordinate with the buyer to gain more perspective on their concerns.
On the other hand, we heard your feedback that the rating criteria made it hard to achieve Star Seller status because it only considered 5-star reviews. We’re updating the criteria to a 4.8 rating average in the three-month review period so that more of your reviews count toward your eligibility for Star Seller. This makes Star Seller more achievable for everyone: 85% of shops with a review in the past 3 months have a rating average of 4.8 or higher. You can learn more about that and some other exciting changes here.
Thank you very much!
Unfortunately, it seems that "what is done is done!" I'm a star seller but I'm not sure how much of a difference it makes. Halloween is my season, so I'll see if sales change etc. It does seem like the buyer has the upper hand on Etsy recently.
@KitcheyKoo You say the buyer "removed her rating". Did the buyer change the rating to 5 stars or what? And it also depends on when this all transpired. Star Seller is for the past 90 days and it seems that at month end updates to ratings take longer.
I can see a 2 star review from July 6th.
