Square not syncing with shop

I have had no problems until now with square and etsy syncing.  I keep getting a message that the sync has failed.  Any ideas on what is happening?

Re: Square not syncing with shop

Careful... Etsy keeps closing these reports and ending discussion and questions on them I've counted 3 closed reports with no resolution.  This is still a major issue, but Etsy keeps saying these are old reports. I did my own testing and isolated this as an etsy issue.  If you download your etsy inventory and your square inventory merge the data, and then upload to square the data is correct, but the next time you click the sync with square button it will wipe out your inventory data again. My suggestion until someone at Etsy decides to pay attention to this catastrophic issue is to download the inventory lists from both services and merge them in AirTable then export the CSV from AirTable, and upload to Square manually you can select the update rather than create new listings option.  Etsy seems to have a data domain field name error that isn't using the square values so when you try to sync with square doesn't get the stock data with the appropriate field name so it can't update in square.

The SKU and Stock level fields are the two failing to sync.

Hello!

Prior to posting in a thread in the Forums, we ask that you please check if you are not bumping an old thread that hasn't seen any activity in a few months (or years, even). If that is the case, and you still would like to share your thoughts and get the conversation going - whether about this or similar topics, we ask that you start your own thread instead of bumping an old one.

Please note that reviving old threads can cause confusion for members reading, so always check the dates of the most recent replies before posting. You can find this information on the top-left corner of each message, just below the member's username and profile picture.

Having said that, we are closing this thread as it is indeed a bit older, and the information contained here may be outdated.

Thank you!
