I just lost my Star Seller badge due to a miscalculation in my message response rate. I have had the star seller badge for several months in a row and all of a sudden my message response rate dropped to 88% yesterday. Today it is 86% and I have ALWAYS responded to messages within the first few hours of receiving them. I noticed today that there was a message in my SPAM folder from a previous buyer. I thought messages in SPAM did NOT count toward message response rates? There are no other messages in my downloaded message history except that one that show no response within 24 hours. I had an entire conversation with the same buyer in my regular inbox so have no idea why her first message would have gone to spam.
I am very upset about this, as I should not have lost my star seller badge. Now it is going to take time to build back my message response rate when it never should have dropped in the first place! Is there anything that can be done to remedy this?
The calculations are automatically run by bots. Etsy can not, and will not, adjust the metrics.
Check your SVG to see which ones you missed.
If you don't trust Etsy's system, set an automated reply.
