Spam message???

I received a message from a potential buyer saying that they have tried purchasing however Etsy keeps dropping their order.  They wanted to know if they could buy from me directly.  Obviously, I would never do that but do you think this is a spam message?

I would just mark as spam

It could be spam but I saw numerous people complaining about cart issues the last couple of days. I'd tell them to report it to Etsy and do the same myself. If they're honest, they'll buy from Etsy when the issue is fixed. If they push to buy privately, it's a scam.
