So i've been trying to look for something to buy on etsy, and a lot of sellers seem to be offering a discount or running a sale. When you click on the listing the item isn't on sale but actually full price and not the price etsy is advertising and will only become that price if you spend x amount in that store to what they have set too, i don't know whether this is done on purpose or is a bug. Because i would of thought legally you can't display one price and then say oh its only if you spend so much so i'm hoping its a bug. If not i can't imagine it being legal, i know in retail in stores if you have the price advertised thats what you have to sell it for or pull it from the shelves. I couldn't imagine going into a shop and seeing something for £10 and then get to the till and them going oh no thats £20, its only £10 if you spend another £50 with us, not only would i not go back to that store but i could also see them being done by trading standards of ill practice
