Shipping issues

Twice Etsy penalized me for a shipping delay from my printer. The help desk said these weren't my fault but can't do anything to help my star seller rating.  I was told I was high priority and would be contacted but it hasn't happened as of yet and it is going on two months. With two days left of this month I fear I will not get my star seller rating back. They won't even respond to me on the chat anymore either.  Has anyone actually ever been contacted?

If the shipping was not on time, there is nothing Etsy can help you with.

I think shipping delays from your POD partner will end up counting as a shipping delay.

But if you can get Etsy to change your Star Seller ... congrats.

Can you extend the processing time to prevent these?

Or work with your POD partner to prevent these?

@kollECKtive: Unfortunately Etsy will probably take the position that it is ultimately your responsibility to make sure that an order ships on time whether you are personally shipping or using a production partner. Don't know what status updates your printer provides but you did have the opportunity to extend the shipping date prior to the scheduled ship by date so the order would not appear to ship late (for Star Seller anyway).

These are your fault for one reason, Etsy allows you to change the expected ship by date one time but you must do it on or before the ship by date listed on the order on Etsy.  If you see that the ship by date is tomorrow and your pod partner has not shipped the package yet, you should find out from them when they expect to ship and then go into the order on Etsy and update with the new ship by date . As long as you do this , Etsy will not ding you on star seller .

If your printer has unforseen delays, you can change the Ship by date one time. Then it won't be seen as late, and it will not affect your Star Seller status. Because of time differences,  I have to do it the day before it says it is due, or it won't let me change the date. You can extend it out a maximum of 21 days. When I need to do it, I allow a few extra days more than I think I'll need, just in case something else comes up.

Once it has already been reported late, regardless of whose fault it is, Etsy will not change it or take it off your Star Seller rating.

Time zone does make a difference, but it's weird that you mention tgat you have to do it the day before.

My time zone is only 1 hr behind Etsy NY, and I have changed the shipping date on an order within the last hour of EST successfully.
