Shipping batch needed for Star seller batch but normally not shipping real items...

Hello,

I sell digital crochet patterns and I had a Star seller badge. I lost it for this month, although I have a rapid anwser badge, a happy reviews badge and 0 cases. I think it is because I made a finished crochet item on demand for a customer and shipped it, in the time that was agreed with the buyer. But now it wants me to have a shipping batch too. Normally you don't need that if you only sell digital items... I do not know what I can do about this. Because I probably not ship another item soon, I only do so by exception, last time was years ago.

Can anyone help me with this? Thanks in advance! Vera

Did you ship that item with tracking and on time?

I had a track and trace number (although I am not sure if I put the right number in the box, because the link is not working, but I also send her a message with a photo of it, the status is now pre transit, and I can not change that, but actully it has arrived already), and I shipped it within the time we agreed. She already received the package and is very happy with it.

If it was a physical product then the tracking needs to be automatically read by Etsy's programs. If Etsy can't, then you don't qualify, it doesn't actually matter that the customer already received it and is happy.

There are millions of sellers here, Etsy does not manually verify anything, definitely not a single order to check it outside of what updated automatically.

The bad news is that you're likely going to have to wait it out, the full 3 months since you don't normally do physical and won't get enough orders to offset this one. The good news is that the SS program is highly overrated. There is a very good chance you will not even notice a difference of not having it.

@YukiYarnDesigns: For physical items, Etsy requires verifiable tracking. If the tracking number was entered incorrectly or the courier is not recognized by Etsy (through Aftership.com) then the order was essentially shipped without tracking as far as Star Seller is concerned.

Since Etsy gave you 72 hours to update the shipper and tracking number from the time you marked the order as completed they will say that there is nothing to fix now.

Long before Star Seller was even thought of, we got into the habit of spending a few minutes daily checking the previous day's shipments to make sure that they were at least "in transit" so if something was wrong we could fix it within the 72 hour window we are allotted.

If the tracking number was not correct nothing else matters.

If you still have the order information in your order history, open it and click "complete order" and follow the steps in the pop-up window to enter the tracking information for the order. That way at least the order won't be left open, and it may help you. fingers crossed!
