Setting up account
I have just set a shop account today, when I put my bank account details it would not accept my card details so I tried my credit card details they also would not verify that. I later got message to say they put my account on hold and they would stop viewings on my item I listed , then got message saying item sold. I have tried to get hold of someone to speak to sort out what’s going on can not find any numbers to get hold of anyone. Also both cards I tried to use have had to be reported to bank fraud department as both cards have tried to be used after and not by me.

Re: Setting up account
these are all scam messages, if you provided them with any of your card details, call the bank asap and block the card

If you receive an actual order, you will see it in your "Orders and Shipping" section and you will receive an email from Etsy notifying you that you have a sale, and there will be a notification in your dashboard as well.

Re: Setting up account
Etsy will never ask you for details in the messenger, not your email, not to click on a link, not your financials, not to scan some QR code.
Please read this post about possible scams you could face:

Re: Setting up account
Your shop has etsy payments. You are all verified by etsy and ready to go. Stop giving out your financial details to scammers. Since you have been so generous with your info they will be back for sure.
You have spelled Wedgwood wrong more than once. How can you ship that to the US from the UK for $2.66?

Re: Setting up account
@FrazersGoods Your shop is not on hold. There are a lot of scammers out there pretending to be Etsy.
look in your Etsy messages for the section called “From Etsy.” If a message is really from Etsy it will be in your Inbox AND your “From Etsy” box/section.

Re: Setting up account
@FrazersGoods: Real messages from Etsy are now going into their own section (labeled as "From Etsy")on your Messages page https://community.etsy.com/t5/Announcements/New-From-Etsy-section-in-Messages/m-p/143722497#M1899 but apparently this is only true when using a browser.
