Hello Everyone,
I have been selling original ink on paper drawings and I'm thinking of selling digital downloads of them, the 1st thing that I did was scanning the illustration so I can save it as JPEG. To sell digital download I have to make this file for different sizes to be printed by the costumers and that is where I don't know what to do. Should I crop the JPEG in different sizes? how do I make my 8.5 x 11 drawing on paper good to prints in multiple sizes like the ones that are offered on digital download prints.
thanks so much for the help and guidance in the new world of digital prints for me.
Katherine
I'm bumping you. I can't help you with anything digital; but I can say this as a buyer... Etsy is flooded with digital download sellers and it seems to be fraught with lots of problems -- people can download and then resell your item; people can download and claim they did not receive; Since there's no tracking no option for star seller; and most importantly, it will limit your customer base to those who are tech savvy and have ability to download and print (and even then if the printed quality is bad on their end you will be blamed). You can charge a lot more for original artwork and if that is currently working for you I wouldn't change it. But that's just me.
