I've seen this addressed before in the forum. what action occurs when you report a shop for selling not handmade, not vintage
Does Etsy take action? just wondering, came across such a shop today
I think they have a stockpile of reports to investigate, like millions.....it will take some time...I may not be exaggerating when I imagine , if you were to type in counterfeit, illegal or banned, that etsy has a drop down menu for that. I have been taken aback ,or shocked even, at what they choose to feature or what has 'dropped down' when searching. It has been a huge conversation with 'by the book' sellers lately, and staying focused on your own shop, your own business, is the only way to be successful in any endeavor..there are cheaters in every walk of life. report what you feel morally compelled to, but then get back to business because the volume of atrocities will drive you crazy.
You can report the shop and it is anyone's guess if Etsy will do anything.
And even if they do, it generally takes a little time. It's still a good idea to report the shop, just don't spend hours every day looking for shops breaking the rules - you'll drive yourself nuts and it's kind of an endless job, yknow?
But still worth trying. And thank you.
make sure it's not a supply or tools to make things.
actually it appears etsy has taken away the function to report a shop. looks good until you go to the final step and the link is greyed out. been like this for awhile. maybe it's fixed today. I've heard you can still report individual items though.

Does Etsy take action?
In my experience, no.
