Seller App update - not getting message notifications

I haven't gotten message notifications in my email for years, but if I am not at my computer I have always gotten notifications of sales and messages through the app on my phone. Suddenly I am only getting the cha-ching sales notifications but no notifications for new messages. Yes, I checked and the notification is turned on. Yes, this is the new updated app with the blue icon.

Now I have to constantly check my shop for messages if I go out for an errand or am otherwise occupied and away from my PC. Anyone else have this issue and maybe have a fix?

@BlossomStamps: Issues with app notifications is a long time on going and sporadic issue as evidenced by the number of threads in this forum. Some have to do with the app itself, some with phone settings. Some occur on one operating system (OS) and not the other. Unfortunately no easy universal solution. Maybe if you specify which OS you are using, perhaps an app user on that OS can point you in the right direction.

The consensus is that a seller needs to check their shop for messages and orders at least daily via a browser until these issues are resolved.

If it's email notifications, you may want to make sure that the address is accepted by your email provider so it doesn't automatically disappear into a deleted or junk file, and are you email settings such that those folders are cleared out asap??? OR that you haven't turned them off in your etsy account settings. OR just go through and turn them off & turn back on again? 

As for the app... it is notorious for doing its own thing. Make sure you have updated the app, & your phone operating systems to the latest versions. AND clear cache, AND maybe delete the app and re-install in order to go through & reset / redo all your settings... maybe something is even just turned off there for email notifications?
