Hello Etsy Community,
I’m reaching out to share my experience and hopefully find some guidance. My shop, SneakArtGallery, was unexpectedly closed around January 2025 after I updated my bank details. I believe this closure may have been triggered by the recent change in my bank account, but I haven’t received any clarification from Etsy support despite my multiple attempts to contact them over the past two months.
For context, my new bank account is in my name, and is for legitimate business purposes. I’m hoping this situation is a misunderstanding, and I’m appealing for my shop to be reinstated.
Has anyone else experienced a similar issue after updating their bank details? Any advice or insights on how I can get my account reinstated would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much for your help!
I do not have a clue how this can be resolved--a lot, and I mean a lot of people are experiencing this. For that reason my own recommendation is to not change anything--ever! Or risk being shut down. I am so sorry and hope you can get this resolved.
One hint: If you have contacted Etsy thru the "contact us" link do not keep sending new messages. Keep replying to the same one "I still need help". Eventually you might reach a human and not a bot.
Which shop are you talking about?
Your current shop appears to be open with all available payment methods.
Your shop is open.
Are you saying that you are not getting deposits? (Add your location as this makes it hard to answer question) If you are in the US, then the bank is verified by Plaid. The rest require a deposit by Etsy to be entered into the bank area after 48 hours the deposit is in the bank. If that is not possible, Etsy asks for a bank statement which needs to have name and address usually.
Form of name on bank account and ID need to match plus any tax information. If that information does not match then Etsy cannot verify. If you have an LLC then the bank information and credit card need to match that information while the ID is personal.
Are you trying chat? Chat cannot help for financial purposes. If you have an email from Etsy take that one email and reply back that you still need help.
Hello,
My shop was closed just because I needed to change my bank account, and Etsy closed directly my shop. Here you have the link to my shop
https://www.etsy.com/shop/SneakArtGallery
Please, I need you to help me, because I have been waiting for a solution since January.
I really appreciate your answer.
Thank you so much.
Best regards,
Reda
"My shop, SneakArtGallery, was unexpectedly closed"
SneakArtGallery was the shop that was closed.
I'm guessing they can't post from that shop because it's closed.
This shop does not disclose that shop, as is required. I can't look at that shop because Etsy has again unnecessarily removed the dropdown for 'find shop names containing' when entering names into the search bar.
@audreytherese thanks, I must have missed the apart where they mentioned the shop name (or maybe they added it later).
To view a closed shop, click on the url bar at the top of the browser and type the shop name (without spaces) then add '.etsy.com'.
Sorry, I was mostly just frustrated at Etsy taking away the option to search for shops by names on a computer. Again. I hate when they make asinine changes like that (back and forth, back and forth, programmers just staying busy while not actually doing anything productive at all).
@Creat3DF I don't know what you were selling in the shop that was closed, but this one has a number full of infringements (trademarks). Personalities and auto makers.
Were you selling digital wall art in both shops?
Were you selling Travis Scot sneaker posters?
Were you using the trademarked Nike swoosh?
If you were selling similar IP infringing items in that shop as you are in this one, you may have a bigger problem than described.
