I got the following message. What does this mean? Is it a scam?

Dear user, your store has been restricted.
Error number #0000110 (Request for identity confirmation)
To confirm your shop you need to provide the e-mail address you provided when you registered. After that we will send you a text message by which you need to confirm. Access to sales will be unlocked automatically after you confirm your identity.

Real messages from etsy will always be in the "from etsy" section of your inbox. 

Remember: etsy already has your email and financial info, which you gave when you signed up.

This is a TRICK. When you provide the email, you magically get an email that is FAKE asking you to "verify" financial info and they will steal your $$$.

It's recommended to keep visiting the forums, there are so many scams out there on Etsy at the moment. The forum is a good place to see the ones making the rounds.

I’ll second this. You can also find out if there are any technical problems, new tests, and changes that Etsy made.

International Shipping from Canada ... Huge issue! Etsy lets them select a option with NO TRACKING. I've sold to Australia twice and both were "LOST" in Transit".

Things to think about. 
Etsy has your email address so why would they ask you for it again? 
Why would Etsy want to communicate off Etsy where they would have no proof of what was said? 
They warn us not to email buyers off Etsy so why would they want to do it with their sellers?

@sparklesbydina   I can confirm your shop is still open, and Etsy let me put one of your items in the cart, which it wouldn't do if your shop was restricted in any way.  Definitely a scam, and many wise words written above with more information how to stay aware and protect yourself.
