Yes, definitely a scam. Etsy already has your email address, they do not need you to provide it again. I just got a variation of this scam where they asked me to text them a message to an email address to complete a sale.

I assume you meant a message (not an email)? All real messages from etsy will be in the "from etsy" section of your inbox.

This is a common scam. Mark it as spam and do not engage. They are trying to trick you into providing your financial information and they will steal your money

"Technical Support" is fake. Etsy would not email you.

1st clue it's a scam is "Dear Seller".

Etsy would never ask you to provide anything in a chat.
They have your email, they don't need it.

Anytime anything at all needs updating on your account, it will show on your dashboard/finance page.
If nothing is there, then nothing needs updating.

Etsy would never message you either about a failed payment.
Info on the help pages regarding what happens when a payment fails to be processed.
