SELLERS CAUTION:
If you move your message that was flagged automatically by ETSY as SPAM and move it to your inbox, it will negatively affect your score after 24 hours. They will not correct the mistake
[This content has been removed by Moderation. We ask that you please review Section 1, Item 1 of our Community Policies before posting in the Forums.]
If you move it out, and reply in 24 hours from when it was received, you are fine
if you don't, you need to move it back, and it will recalculate at the end of the month
Hello!
We ask that you please refrain from sharing any sort of personal/sensitive information (yours or other people's - this includes, and is not limited to: Names, Addresses, Phone Numbers, Email Addresses, Tracking Numbers, Private Messages, etc.). This also includes any verbatim communication between you and your customers, as per Section 1, Item 1 of our Community Policies.
Please be mindful that this is a safety measure for you and everyone else potentially involved in the matter, which is why this is such an important aspect of our Community Policies.
Thank you!
@CJDCustomCreations The information you posted is important, but I recommend that you condense what was told to you in chat instead of copying/pasting it. I believe it will be deleted; I know posts are deleted whenever exact messages are copied and pasted here from any admin. This will help others who make this same mistake. If a message mistakenly put in Spam by Etsy is over 24 hrs old, it will count against your Star Seller if you put it into your inbox to answer it.
Turing test fail?
@CJDCustomCreations: To echo what @ForeverWindingWool said, you need to edit your post before an Etsy moderator does. Verbatim quotes of communications with Etsy are against the Community Policy. Perhaps you turn it into a synopsis because it is valuable.
etsy will delete the original conversation as it's against their rules to post conversations, so as a precaution i took the initiative to summarize the salient points
MISDIRECTION: rest assured that it will not affect your Star Seller eligibility
CONTRADICTION: I know how this is affecting your score
PLACATION: your feedback is noted to ensure our team is informed
SORRY IF I HURT YOU: totally get this wasn't the outcome you were expecting. We would appreciate you understanding
DISMISSAL: As I have provided all the information I can about this matter, I won't be able to continue assisting you

This is not correct. It did indeed affect my seller score. Twice to be accurate. Ironic that I am being penalized for providing service.
You can move it out, you still have to reply in the 24 hours from when it was received - into spam.
If you don't, you have to mark as spam again, and it will not be counted against you.
....
If you are very unlucky, and you manage to have a calculation at the end of the month, when you are replying, and it's not re-marked as spam, then you have to wait until the next calculation.
I can't seem to delete this conversation. Can a moderator delete this for me?

Just ran into this with a message from a customer that was inaccurately flagged as spam. Do you report the conversation as spam to bring it back and not effect my star seller score on my end? I'd rather not do that if it negatively effects the customer?
Any way to correct this on Etsy's side? I'm not overly worried about it but seems like this could have a more transparent solution.
Thank you!
Nate

Don't count on it.
